I Am My Mother’s Hoarder

It does not matter how far away from home you run, even if you didnt pack a bag- you unknowingly bring parts of home to wherever you go through your habits. This photobook documents the ways in which I replicated home in my new spaces, taking after my mothers hoarding tendancies.
Publication:
Despite my mother hoarding four broken TV’s in our living and years worth of postage in our dog food bin- our fridge seemed to be the most barren part of my childhood home- a small but telling reality of the economic circumstances of a signle parent and her two children. Following my photobook, I was then inspired to create a publication focusing on the characterization of our fridges, and how quickly they become a subtle dumping ground of our identity, culture and economic class.
